We are the Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims — a non-profit organisation founded by those who lost someone on January 8, 2020. We come from different countries, backgrounds, and beliefs. We are bound by grief, resolve, and an unrelenting demand for truth.

Our Story

Founded on Day 160

On June 16, 2020 — the 160th day since the attack — families gathered in Toronto to formally launch the Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims. By that date, Iran had not yet delivered the flight recorders, had destroyed the crash site, and had provided no answers. The Association was born out of that silence.

We are a group of families with diverse national, political, and religious backgrounds — united by a single demand: that those who ordered and carried out the murder of 177 innocent people be identified and brought before an impartial court. Families representing more than 100 victims joined from the outset, and our membership has continued to grow.

The road has been long. Iran has obstructed every step. Governments have wavered. But we have not stopped. We have pursued accountability in every forum available — ICAO, the ICC, the ICJ, and domestic courts in Canada. We will not rest until justice is served.

Mission Statement

Justice, remembrance, and support across borders

The Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims seeks justice and accountability for the downing of Flight PS752, preserves the dignity and memory of our loved ones, and empowers families through support, advocacy, and international partnerships. We unite voices across borders to confront impunity, strengthen human rights, and ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.

Purpose of the Corporation

At the Annual General Meeting on June 28, 2025, members approved an amended statement of purpose to define the Association's charitable and public-interest work in precise terms.

01 / Justice

Seek accountability and remedies

Uphold the administration and enforcement of Canadian and international laws relevant to the downing of Flight PS752, including by seeking justice, accountability, and remedies through international adjudicative bodies and other lawful mechanisms.

02 / Family Support

Support grieving families

Promote health and support families affected by the deaths of the passengers and crew by preserving the victims' legacy through memorials, community events, counselling, community-building, outreach, and other support programs.

03 / Education

Advance public understanding

Advance education about the downing of Flight PS752 by collecting and disseminating information about the disaster and the prevention of similar air disasters in the future.

04 / Human Rights

Promote rights and freedoms

Promote human rights for Iranians in accordance with human rights and freedoms embodied in Canadian law and international conventions and proclamations to which Canada has subscribed.

Our Demands

What We Are Fighting For

    Uncover the full truth about the crime and those who ordered and carried it out.

    Ensure that all perpetrators, commanders, and planners are identified and tried before an independent international court.

    Obtain full access to black box recordings, the Tor-M1 unit transcript, and CCTV footage.

    Reform ICAO Annex 13 so states are not responsible for investigating crimes they themselves have committed.

    Ensure accountability and compensation from the Islamic Republic of Iran for the families of all victims on the flight.

    Preserve the memory of 176 lives for future generations.

Justice is a collective struggle.

We are families. We are not politicians, not diplomats, not strategists. But we know what happened to our loved ones, and we will not allow the world to forget.
