Statement by the Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims on the New Wave of Executions

The Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims extends its deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones at the hands of the Islamic Republic and strongly condemns the recent wave of executions and the escalating repression in Iran.

Through repression, killings, executions, torture, forced confessions, and the systematic impunity granted to perpetrators of crimes, the Islamic Republic has built a long record of human rights violations. A criminal regime that conceals the truth, lies to the international community, and suppresses and kills protesters, justice-seeking families, and its own citizens fundamentally lacks the moral legitimacy to speak of justice, let alone administer it.

The Iranian people’s movement for freedom, justice, and fundamental rights will not be stopped by executions and repression. Despite all their differences, the people of Iran have stood together in solidarity and through collective organization against violence and repression. Today, saying “No to Executions” is saying no to a regime that is always searching for another victim for its gallows.

The Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims calls upon the international community, the United Nations Special Rapporteur, and all democratic governments committed to human rights to break their silence in the face of the recent wave of executions and intensified repression in Iran, and to hold the Islamic Republic accountable for its ongoing and systematic violations of fundamental human rights.
We will never forget nor shall we ever forgive the murderers of the Iranian people.
